Council Facts

About the Council

The Council appoints the county manager, who holds the executive authority for the county. The county budget runs calendar year so budget hearings are held typical held in December for the upcoming budget year.

The Wasatch County Council also act as the governing board for the following SSD's and organizations:

  • Event Center
  • Fire SSD
  • North Village SSD
  • Parks and Recreation SSD 
  • Rodeo (Mountain Valley Stampede)
