Development Forms and Applications

Online Planning Application Submission

All applications must be applied for using the online portal. A complete application must be uploaded to the site, and the application fee must be received before your application can be reviewed. The following items will be needed to complete the application:

  • Electronic plan sets matching the application checklistand naming convention (see applicable checklists below). Final submittals must be stamped and signed by the appropriate professional consultant.
  • Application fees may be delivered in person to the Planning Office, or a credit card option is available with an additional processing fee. Out-of-pocket accounts, if needed, must be paid by cash or check in person to the Planning Office.

Once your application has been accepted as complete, it will be sent to the Development Review Committee (DRC) for review. This review typically takes 2-3 weeks. Once the review is complete, a report will be sent to you detailing the outcome of the DRC review. If changes are necessary, you must resubmit your response through the portal. DO NOT DELETE any existing uploaded files. Deleting documents may delete your plan review and result in a need to restart the application process. New files should be uploaded as revisions to the existing file and named exactly like the previous one. [Help guide is available here]  Once the DRC has approved the project, the item will be forwarded to the Planning Commission, if applicable. Projects with changes required will not be placed on an agenda until issues have been resolved. See Wasatch County Code 16.27.05 for more details on the general application process.

Required Development Application Checklist and Naming Convention

All documents must be uploaded and named correctly, as noted in the applicable application checklist. If they are not labeled correctly or required items are missing, your submittal will be rejected as incomplete. All uploaded documents must be in PDF unless otherwise noted and uploaded as separate files for each checklist item. Uploading documents in any other format or in one large file will result in your application being returned as incomplete.
