The Wasatch County Trails, Arts & Parks spring grant application period is now open. Nonprofits, foundations, local organizations, and individuals are encouraged to apply for this unique opportunity to bring innovative trails, arts, and parks projects to life in Wasatch County.
Online applications can be filled out at www.wasatchcounty.gov/tap. The deadline to apply is Friday, Feb. 28.
A grant application workshop will be held on Monday, Jan. 13, at 5 p.m. at the Wasatch County Administration Building. This workshop will cover grant requirements, eligibility criteria, and information on matching funds. Members of the Trails, Arts & Parks Tax Advisory Board will be present to answer any questions applicants may have.
The Wasatch County Trails, Arts & Parks Tax Advisory Board will review applications and make grant funding recommendations to the Wasatch County Council in April. Grant recipients will be announced in May.

In 2022, Wasatch County voters approved a 1/10 of a percent local sales and use tax ($0.01 for every ten dollars) to enhance trails, arts, and parks in Wasatch County. The TAP tax went into effect in 2023, and the first 13 project grants, totaling $285,151, were awarded in the fall of 2024.
