The Wasatch County Trails, Arts & Parks Project Grant application period is now open.
The Wasatch County Trails, Arts & Parks Project Grant application period is now open, offering a unique opportunity for nonprofits, foundations, local organizations and individuals to bring visionary projects to life.
“We recognize that trails, arts and parks are essential to building a vibrant and thriving community,” Wasatch County Manager Dustin Grabau said. “And we’re excited about this innovative grant program that gives residents the opportunity to drive the vision and future of Wasatch County.”
In 2022, Wasatch County voters approved a 1/10 of a percent local sales and use tax ($.01 for every ten dollars) to enhance trails, arts and parks in the county. The TAP tax went into effect in 2023, and the first grants will be awarded this year.
The Wasatch County Trails, Arts and Park (TAP) Tax Advisory Board will review applications and recommend to the County Council the use and facilitation of the collected funds.
Nonprofits, foundations, local organizations and others wishing to complete projects are encouraged to apply.
Grant applications are due on Thursday, May 30, and grant recipients will be notified by Sunday, June 30.
