The Board of Equalization appeal deadline is Monday, Sept. 16, at 5 p.m.

The deadline for Wasatch County property owners to appeal their 2024 property valuations to the Board of Equalization is Monday, Sept. 16, at 5 p.m.

“This is a chance for property owners to compare property details to the county’s records,” Clerk-Auditor Joey Granger said. “The purpose is to find discrepancies in market value that affect equalization and to make sure the data we have is correct within a certain margin of error.”

Property owners should submit appeals as soon as possible online at wasatchcounty.gov/board-equalization to avoid any last-minute issues or heavy web traffic, as deadline extensions are not permitted.

Evidence of valuation based on property value as of Jan. 1, 2024, must be submitted with the appeal. Recommended evidentiary documents include recent sales contracts, purchase agreements, or an appraisal. Comparative market analyses are also acceptable as long as the properties are closely comparable.

Contact the Clerk-Auditor's Office at 435-657-3190 if you have not received a valuation notice this year.

To change primary residence status, fill out the application online at wasatchcounty.gov/exemptions or call the Assessor’s Office at 435-657-3221.
