Tri-Valley Watershed Project - 2020
Project Information
The United States Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), with assistance from Wasatch County as the project sponsor, is considering improvements within the Tri-Valley Watershed. Improvements are proposed at Lake Creek,Center Creek, and Daniel Irrigation System.
Improvements are being proposed to:
- Reduce flood damage potential;
- Further the conservation, development,utilization and disposal of water; and
- Further the conservation and proper utilization of land.
An evaluation of potential project alternatives and associated environmental impacts is required and will be documented in the form a Watershed Plan and Environmental Assessment (Plan-EA). NRCS and Wasatch County will hold a public scoping meeting to provide information about the proposed project and to collect comments.
At this time, NRCS is requesting comments on the project to identify issues and resource sensitivities. Written comments are can be submitted during the open comment period starting January 29, 2020 and ending on March 2, 2020.
Comments must be received by: March 2, 2020
